AA Drivetech, the AA's commercial driver training arm which works with UK delivery services and other users of commercial vehicles, has been handed an award at the BusinessCar Awards 2012.
It offers risk management and training products to users of vehicles such as vans, trucks, coaches and 4x4s, and retrains over 23,000 drivers annually.
Roughly 300,000 people who work in the commercial vehicle sector have attended a course run by AA Drivetech over the last two years.
Commenting on the award, managing director Jim Kirkwood said he is especially pleased to receive an accolade voted for by readers of the magazine with no external influence brought to bear.
"It's gratifying to hear that so many senior people in the fleet industry took the trouble to express their satisfaction with our contribution to business driver welfare and fleet running cost reduction," said Mr Kirkwood.
BusinessCar also awarded BMW UK the manufacturer of the year prize after an impressive 2011.
